My "Future"

Today Carla and I went to the Tea Room to have our cards read. We had originally planned to go in September but with me not feeling great then schedules it got put off a few months. I'm actually glad it worked out this way. We both had great readings!

I had my cards read in college but I cannot remember what they said so I wanted to write it down for reference later. When we first walked in the place was crowded but we didn't have to wait long. I was a little skeptical about the woman who did our reading but she was spot on. The first few cards that were turned over were the ones for motherhood/fertility. So she asked if I was pregnant. It was a little shocking. I didn't expect it that fast. She said it was a boy (which I already knew) and that he would be "big, very big." She asked when I was due and I told her Mid-April and for some reason I told her it would be a c-section. She said "even if you weren't going to schedule it, it would have happened anyway. The cards show surgery." She said the baby will be very healthy and he will look like me: dark hair, dark eyes and light skin (FINALLY!!).

She talked a little bit about my job (well my old job), she also said we'd be buying a 4 bedroom house that we've driven by many times. She said it will "just fall on your lap." So we'll see. She talked a lot about Steve and our relationship and everything was dead on. She said she saw a 4th child, another boy, in the future. Umm, no. That one will not be coming true. Oh, she also said a party was being planned for me. I hope it's just dinner out with the girls!

Overall it was a great reading. She said everyone was healthy and happy. Just what I wanted to hear! Carla had a great reading too. I'm so glad we went. It was so much fun. Thank you Carla for a wonderful day!!

Finally!!

Arianna is FINALLY crawling! Yes, at almost 10 months she decided to start crawling forward. I was on the computer and she started crawling towards me. Just this week she started sitting up from a laying down position, pulling herself up and cruising a little bit.

Today while we were waiting for Cam and Daddy to get ready to go to Emma's birthday party we went out into the yard and I took some pictures of her. I know...more pictures of Arianna. I can't help it! She's such a ham, she loves to have her picture taken! She doesn't take off on me yet so I'm going to take full advantage. If I only had known Cam would run when ever the camera came out I would have done the same with him!

She was all done with the hat...

Both kids had a blast at Emma's Nanna's pool. It was Arianna's first time in the pool and she LOVED it! She was splashing, kicking and screeching! She had absolutely no problem with the water getting in her face. I wish I could do a Water Babies class with her.

Cam did very well too especially with his ear plugs (we only lost three of them...sorry Cathy and Tom!) he kept them in while he was in the water. He used only the ring tube and wasn't afraid at all. The kids had so much fun that if this was our "forever house" I would have to try and convince Steve to get a pool...

Hunting for Easter Eggs!

Today we had an Easter Egg Hunt in the backyard for the kids. Our group dwindled down to just two but they had a great time! They needed a little help with direction but I think that was because they were so excited! I thought they'd fight over one or the other having more eggs but they didn't they did great. After they hunted for eggs and played they had a picnic lunch of pizza on the deck.

Cam showing off his basket of goodies!
Next year Arianna will get to play too!

Edaville!

On Sunday we took Cam to Edaville Railroad. We went last year but he was a little young to really get the whole thing. I was so excited for this year. He was too. He could not wait to ride the train with his friends. We lucked out because the weather was perfect. It wasn't too cold at all.

We got there around 4:30 right when Carla and family was too. Since there was no line for the train and everyone else was still on their way we decided to hop on the train.

It's a good thing since Cam wouldn't go back on it when all his friends got there. He did go on a caterpillar ride with Elijah though!

We all had a great time and next year Arianna will enjoy it also!

Mom's Nite Out!

Last nite I went out with Dianna and Carla. Dianna is headed off to Florida for the holidays in a few weeks so we wanted to get together without the kids. It is so nice to be able to sit, chat, and actually eat a hot meal!

We've known each other for 2 1/2 years now. Ever since Cam was a few months old. It's hard to believe since it seems like so much longer than that. I am so lucky to have met such awesome ladies who accept me as a person and as a Mom. They offer their advice and support so much with out judgment. For that I am forever thankful.

As I was driving home last nite I realized that we do not have one single picture of us. We're always taking pictures of the kids but no one has ever thought to take one of us Moms. That will have to change. Maybe next week at Edaville!

Finally!

Finally....Arianna slept in her crib in her own room last night! We tried on Friday night but she woke up after I put her in so we nixed it for that night. She fell asleep around 11:30 on my chest (I think it will be awhile before she breaks that habit) then I moved her into her crib. I only heard her twice but I didn't get up once! I moved the monitor so that I could see it from my bed. Gotta love the AngelCare Monitor!

Finally...Steve's very good friend Jayme will be heading home from Iraq on December 11. He is over there flying in his second tour. We're very excited for him to come home. Before he went over he was living in Virginia so we haven't seen him very much. We can't wait for him to meet Arianna and to see how much Cam has grown. He has been such a great "uncle" to the kids. He has sent them each birthday card and gifts from Iraq. Much more than their real uncles have done!

We're hoping he'll come home to Canton. But Steve thinks he'll go back to Virgina and finish out his last 3 years of service in the military down there. Please pray that he makes it home safely!

***I did have a picture of Jayme and Steve on our wedding day but I know Steve would KILL ME since the blog isn't private any more. So I deleted it. If you saw it, you aren't going crazy now that it's gone!***

Arianna has a new boyfriend!!

Jack Thomas was born Monday (11/3). He is absolutely beautiful! I made it up to the hospital last night to meet him and to visit with Tanya. As always she looks great. You never would have guessed she had just given birth. Lucy is going to be a great big sister.

Congrats to the Pimental Family!

BFFs!

A few weeks ago I realized that I cannot find any of my pictures from college since we moved. I was going thru some old books and came across a memory book that Erika had made for me one Christmas way back in '98.

Erika and I have been friends since Sophomore year in college (1995). We bonded one night in her room (Monican 3rd South!) while painting our nails. Since that time we were inseparable.
*Dear God, I cannot believe high waisted jeans are coming back...*

After college we had 3 apartments together (Methuen, Lawrence, Malden) oh, how could I forget the summer spent in Boston!! Oh the memories (Rob, Anthony, the time I broke my foot and no one believed me, leaving Judy high and dry because we couldn't afford the $300 rent...).

*I wish I was brave enough to cut my hair that short now!*

Going thru the book brought back so many awesome times. The many Buffett and Dave Matthews concerts.

One thing I had totally forgotten about until I looked at was the time she tripped in the library. It was prime time in the library and we were sitting near the computer lab and she freaking tripped. EVERYONE saw her. People on the 3rd floor could see her! I almost died and it wasn't even me that tripped. Or the time her boob was sticking out of her shirt and some one across the quad screamed at her and told her. "Ummm, excuse me, Miss, you might want to fix yourself." She came into Physics or Chemistry or some other science class all freaking flustered!

Or the time she MADE me go back to 5B Walker Road with someone's roommate so she could get with his roommate! Hmmm, is he in one of the pictures???

Then there was pledging. I could not have done it without you!

There were so many good times I could write about them all day. Erika was not only my roommate but my very best friend and soulmate in the whole wide world. We were constantly together. We looked so much alike that people (well, guys) would ask if we were twins. We got tired of saying no so we came up with a little white lie. We told everyone we were twins, fraternal, and that my name was Ari (Arianna!) and her's was Addi (Addison). They totally bought it and one guy said our parents must be cool to give us such awesome names!! It was fun and def. got us a lot of free drinks!

Erika is now a City Mouse living it up in the Big Apple and I'm a Country Mouse. I miss you Erika, it's been way too long. The next time we get together I'll have to bring the book so we can laugh and cry.

I love and miss you!!!!

P.S...why didn't you tell me this outfit was HORRIBLE????

"Your friend is the one who knows all about you, and still likes you."

Today Arianna and I drove to Revere so she could meet the girls. It's hard to believe that we have known each other for over 10 years now and that we've been out of college for 10 years. WOW, we're getting old.

Over the past 10 years there have been lots of laughs, tears, fights and more booze than I'm going to admit to! But one thing has always remained, we are always there for each other when we're down or in need of a hug. Our lives have gone in different directions but we always make time for each other. Friends like that don't come around very often so when they do, you hold on for dear life!

I love you girls!!!

Here are some pictures, just for Cara since she loves being the star of my blog!
