Finally A Beautiful Day!

And we enjoyed it by doing some yard work and just spending time outside!

We've Got A Tooth!

Finally Arianna has a tooth! I swear this child has been teething since she was 3 months old! The left bottom one finally came through. I quietly mentioned to her that at this age her brother had 4 teeth but she didn't seem to care! Nor did she care that at this age Cam was almost crawling. Arianna is very content just sitting on my lap and playing with my hair. She has absolutely no desire to be down on the floor playing with her toys let alone be on her belly! She screams and screams until you roll her over. Yep, we have to roll her back over. She does roll from her back to her belly but if she really gets onto her belly she just screams. She really does have a devilish side. I wonder where she gets it from...?

In other Arianna Lillian news she has become *quite* the little piglet. She hated eating solids at first and now she cannot get enough. She eats a whole stage 2 jar and some oatmeal two times a day and cries when she's done because she wants more! Her weight check at 9 months will be interesting! So far butternut squash is her favorite and she's not a huge fan of peaches. Cam on the other hand loved peaches.

Cameron is loving soccer. He's doing better each week with listening and he's actually really good at kicking the ball! He can't quite stop it yet so he uses his hands for that but he's 3! He's also very excited for his birthday. I hope his party lives up to his high expectations!

It Has Been One Week

since Cam last had his *B* aka binky! Can you believe it? We are so proud of him! Well, he didn't give it up willingly. We decided that it was time to get rid of it before we embarked on the next challenge...potty training. It was getting out of control again, he wanted it all the time and it was annoying me. Since Steve was on vacation last week we thought it was best we do it then.

I cut the bulb part off so he couldn't suck on it. We told him that it was broken. My only regret is that we didn't give it to him before bed time. He didn't discover that they were broken until he was going to bed...not the best thing. Looking back it wasn't as bad as it could have been but during that time I felt horrible. We were both crying and I felt like the worlds worst Mom. "Is it so bad that he has it?" "There are worst things he could be doing." "It's what soothes him, he doesn't have anything else." All those thoughts were running through my head. Since my mother reads this I will spare her what Cam was saying...but it was heart wrenching. But I knew that we couldn't turn back. We had come to far and already caused him too much grief to turn back. Steve and I both laid with him and rubbed his back and his head and his leg, what ever he asked for! He settled down and sang himself to sleep.

I did not sleep one minute that night. I kept waiting for him to wake up hysterically crying for the *b* but he didn't. In the morning he told us that his b's were broken and we said that they were. We were glad that he "got" it. We gave him a toy for making it through the night without them and he was happy.

He has had some rough moments and he refused his naps until yesterday but he is doing great. It's hard because he doesn't know how to self soothe. I think singing to himself has helped a little bit but not a lot.

We're very proud of him our little boy is growing up! It's hard to believe that just 7 months ago when Arianna came into our life Cameron could barely put 3 words together and here he is singing! He is able to tell us how he feels, he tells us that he loves us, that we're his best friends, it makes my heart burst with pride and love!

Meet the Newest Member Of....

Red Sox Kid Nation!

During the winter Steve and I signed Cam up to become a member of the Red Sox Kid Nation. The kit wasn't shipped until Spring and we hoped it would be here for opening day but it wasn't. It arrived yesterday. He got a membership card, a hat, a ball, some tattoos, stickers, pencil, pencil case, shoelaces, and a metal lunch box. Not bad for $22! He was so excited for the hat and the ball. It was great since his Easter basket was Red Sox themed (the Red Sox bat and glove was a huge hit!). We also get a discount to certain games with his membership but I'm not sure if he's ready for that yet. Maybe next year?

Happy Easter!

Arianna is quite the ham. All I had to do was say "Ariannnna" and she'd turn her head, pose and smile for me. It was so damn cute! If only Cam would do the same...

Cam's First Soccer Practice!

Today Cam had his first soccer practice. I don't know who was more excited, him or Steve! I think Cam was the youngest but he did great. Some of the other kids cried when their parents left the field and Cam just kinda stared at them like they were nuts! He didn't follow directions all the time but he did well. Steve went out on the field with him to help. They did a few drills where they kicked the ball to one end of the field and then raced back, they did some fun things where they touched the ball with every body part except for their hands. Cam brought his ball and did not let it out of his sight! The 45 minutes seemed like 5 hours to me but Cam didn't want to leave. Next week will be rough when it's me but hopefully he'll be able to listen to the Coach. Daddy has high hopes for his soccer career!

Coloring Easter Eggs!

Early this morning we colored Easter eggs with Cameron before Arianna got up. He had fun though it made such a mess! We only boiled a dozen eggs and he seriously went through them in about 20 seconds. Next year we'll have to do a lot more when its the 2 of them doing it. His hands were green and it would not come off. Oh well, he had fun!

Lately he's been asking when the Christmas tree is coming back. I've explained to him that it's not Christmas time. First the flowers will grow, then he'll get to go swimming, then the leaves will change colors, then it will get really cold and snow and THEN it will be Christmas time. He seems to understand that but he's so excited for Christmas again. I've also tried to explain to him that his birthday is coming up. Well, all he seems to know about birthdays is that 1. you eat birthday cake 2. you get presents 3. you wear a birthday hat. I guess he's got that one down too! He cannot wait until it is his turn for all 3 of those things. He said to Steve, "Ho Ho (aka Santa) is going to bring me presents for my birthday." Maybe I'm just confusing him...

It was a nice day out so we took the kids in the backyard to tryout Arianna's new swing. I think she liked it!

Arianna's Seven Months Old!

This post is a little late I know. We've been busy!

Today we met Jade and Eliza at the shops and the plan was to get Arianna and Cam's picture taken with the Easter Bunny. Cam has never seen the Easter Bunny so I wasn't sure how it would go. It was free, you just bring your camera so I figured why not? I knew Arianna would be fine, and she was! Cam wanted nothing to do with the Bunny. He wanted the little egg you got after sitting on its lap but he didn't want to sit on its lap! He had fun running around the big room though. After we went to lunch and Cam was perfect! He got a balloon at lunch so he was happy!
