Cam's 1st Train Ride!

Since Cam didn't have daycare today we decided it would be fun to take Cam on the train and visit Daddy at work. Why I was feeling so adventurous is beyond me. The morning began fairly well. Only one meltdown! Cameron was very excited to get on the train. I brought the double stroller, Cam in the front and Arianna laying down underneath. The thing is heavy! It was hard getting the stroller over the little hole between the platform and train but I did it. The conductor watched me, he never offered to help. Whatever.

Cam loved the train. He kept saying it was loud and he loved when the train "said choo choo." When we would go in a tunnel "mommy it's dark AGAIN (as he banged his hands down against his seat)." I guess he didn't like it! When we were getting off people let me go in front of them. The same conductor was on the platform and I tried to just push the stroller while I lifted it a little bit hoping it would clear the gap. Nope. The damn front wheel came completely off. Not only did it come off but it fell down the hole. I thought it was gone forever. The conductor got pissed, like I wanted the wheel to come off! Maybe if he had helped...So we had to wait for everyone to get off (while I held the front of the stroller up) then a guy climbed down and got it. The conductor "maybe you should lock the wheel." Wow, why didn't I think of that? Me, "It was locked." I don't know why it came off. Just another reason to not like the stroller!

Daddy met us there and walked us over to his building. We visited for a little bit then went back on the train. Cam cried when we got off. I promised him another train ride...

I was going to say the same thing as Dianna! Only you would have the wheel fall off. Glad you all survived the adventure. It gets easier the more you do it - you'll have to go in again. Maybe we can all head into the Children's Museum.
