Cameron got BIT at daycare today!

Steve dropped him off this morning. The drop off didn't go so well because his favorite teacher wasn't there and he hadn't been in over a week. I picked him up at 12 so he could nap at home. When I got there he was still eating so I let him eat a bit then took him home.

Well, when I was getting him out of his carseat he had HUGE bite mark on his upper arm. I can count the # of teeth this child had. I was extremely surprised because no one had said anything to me. I called and talked to one of his morning teachers who I know well. I told her that Cam had a bite mark on his arm. She said she wasn't sure when it happened, then said the kids were laying down (not sure why they were laying down...) and he started to cry. The teacher picked him up and asked the little girl what happened, she didn't say anything but I guess she's not a great talker. The teacher said they put her in time out b/c they figured she did something. The teacher said she would write up an incident report. I just can't believe that Cam wasn't holding his arm or told her he had a "boo boo."




A few weeks ago Cam got hit in the head w/a toy (on his temple) and had a cut. I'm wondering if it's the same girl. I know Cam can be aggressive especially when he's frustrated or excited but this is the 2nd time he's come home hurt from another child. I called Steve and of course he was mad! He said he would talk to the main teacher if she is there tomorrow.

I called his pediatrician because I wasn't sure what to do with a human bite. The nurse said to keep antibiotic ointment on it and he only needed to be seen if the skin was broken. Luckily it wasn't!

This is just another reason why this bed rest thing needs to end!
